FORKS HIGH SCHOOL GAME DAY ANNOUNCER

Announcers are responsible for announcing starting line up, substitutions, key plays, game updates, and any required sportsmanship or promotional announcements at athletic events. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Clear and confident speaking voice
• Comfortable using microphones and basic PA systems
• Ability to pronounce student names accurately
• Knowledge of the sport(s) being announced
• Professional demeanor and ability to engage crowds appropriately
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during game seasons
• Must follow district and league guidelines for announcing
• Prior announcing or public speaking experience preferred

POSITION INFORMATION:

• This position is only needed for home games.
• The stipend amount is based on the number of sports the announcer commits to working.
• Announcers must arrive early to review rosters and prepare for the event
• Responsible for promoting good sportsmanship and maintaining a neutral tone
